В основі “Ательє історій” ідея розвитку зв'язків між людьми та культурами, між тими речами та місцями, які залишаються значущими для людини попри складні обставини. “Ательє історій” досліджуватиме, яку роль відіграють в'язані речі (“шарф моєї бабусі”, “шапка, яку зв'язала мама”), у житті українських біженців та поширюватиме теплі історії серед ком'юніті українців у різних куточках світу. Ми хочемо віддати шану унікальним зв'язкам між домом і культурними традиціями, які сформували знання про роботу з нитями.

Об'єднуючим символом “Ательє історій” є мотив “бабусин квадрат”. У різних культурах цей елемент асоціюється з метафізичними уявленнями про сталість, впевненість, силу життя."Бабусин квадрат" починається з ланцюжків і завершується їх з'єднанням. Публічна програма “Ательє історій” передбачає події для українських біженців, ремісників з інших культурних спільнот, а також представників культурних інституцій.


The Atelier of Stories Project is part of the program Vidnova Fellowship, an individually designed program for civil society actors from Ukraine, that enables them to continue their work and to network with other European and Ukrainian partner organizations.
